Read full description of the books The Problem of the Wire Cage:I am a big fan of Golden age mysteries, especially locked room ones. And undoubtedly JD Carr is its god. What fascinates me is that the solution is visible to reader in plain sight, but the brain fails to look at it. I think that's where the success of mystery writers lie.
The problem of the wire cage is not a 'Brilliant' mystery, but undoubtedly a fantastic read. Carr scores again. This time, it is not a locked room mystery, instead its a tennis court covered by wire mesh on all the sides. Except for the dead body in the middle of it, there seems to be no trace of human entry or exit. With no footprints, Dr Fell is put-forth a baffling case and its upto him to bring the murderer under light.
